I started speaking 2 u like 2 years ago and I have had finally got time 2 look again at ur website again! It looks even more amazing than last time. I think u emailed me quite a few times since then but I haven’t been looking at my emails and forgot completely – sorry. You seem 2 be doing really well and lots of ppl seem to be getting really interested in the UGLIES range of products! Since we last spoke I’ve joined National squad and r now training like 15hrs a week, I don’t really have much spare time because I’m normally going out with my bezzies, training or doing at least 2 hrs homework everyday. Last year we went 2 a place in France, most of my friends I met were more interested in chatting up boys but I ended up doing and winning a swim meet! It’s really hard 2 go on holiday without swimming! Anyway it’s really nice 2 catch up – hopefully you will post back soon :) Lauren xxx

I’m from Glasgow University and currently doing a genetic study in elite swim status. Wondering if I could ask a question regarding the classification of swim events? Thanks in advance.

Is it reasonable to consider a swimmer as a 50m swimmer if he/she got the best results from the 50m event than from 800/1500 event in the competitions (ie. olympic games)? As in our study, we’d like to split the swimmers (<=400m) to short-distance (50/100m) and middle-distance (200-400m) groups to look for genes that predispostion to swim status. But the classification from our collaborator made me confused as described above for the 50m swimmer.

I don't know much about swim. For me, a swimmer can delegate to different events, such as 100, 200 or 400m, in the competitions; but not jump from 50/100m to 800/1500m? Your opinions are much appreciated.
