The Six Answers are:
A1: Eggbeater. Eggbeater – the continuous movement in which the legs rotate in opposite directions – keeps swimmers on the waters surface and enables them to perform arm sequences at presentable heights.
A2: Nose Clip. The nose clip allows swimmers to perform leg movements and elements upside-down without getting water in their nose.
A3: 2 point penalty is given and the figure is re-swum. For an error in a figure or for in completing it, the swimmer receives a 2 point penalty and then re-swims the figure. If the same or another mistake is made however, the swimmer receives a zero.
A4: 60%, 40%. Technical merit (60%) involves execution, synchronization and degree of difficulty. Artistic impression (40%), involves choreography, interpretation of music, and manner of presentation. The final routine score and final figure score are combined, to create the championship and total score.
A5: two. Even if one swimmer’s foot accidentally touches the bottom of the pool, a 2 point penalty is issued. Due to this rule, swimmers are forced to develop their eggbeater skills.
A6: Head Referee. The Head Referee runs the meet.
How did you do?

Synchronized swimming is a hybrid form of swimming, dance and gymnastics, consisting of swimmers (either solos, duets, or teams) performing a synchronized routine of elaborate moves in the water, accompanied by music. Synchronized swimming demands advanced water skills, and requires great strength, endurance, flexibility, grace, artistry and precise timing, as well as exceptional breath control when upside down underwater.
Olympic and World Championship competition is not open to men, but other international and national competitions allow male competitors. Both USA Synchro and Synchro Canada allow men to compete with women.
Competitors show off their strength, flexibility, and aerobic endurance required to perform difficult routines. Swimmers perform two routines for the judges, one technical and one free. as well as age group routines and figures.
